40 th Class Reunion
The Waynesboro High School Class of 1969 recently held its 40 th class reunion with
dinner and dancing at the American Legion. Those in attendance were, from left,

The Magnolia Acres Community Empowerment Committee recently held its first com
munity gathering with the residents of Magnolia Acres. Earlier this month, Waynesboro
City Council donated two vacant lots to the group, which they say will be used for
parks and playgrounds and aid in their efforts to reach area youth.

Delta Epsilon Iota was estab
lished in order to recognize
and encourage academic ex
cellence in all fields of study.
The organization rewards out
standing students through fi
nancial scholarships, provides
leadership opportunities to its
members and promotes the
principles of dedication, enthu
siasm and initiative among stu
dents participating in higher
education throughout the
United States.
Students qualify on the ba
sis of academic achievement.
Prospective members must
have completed a minimum of
30 semester hours at an accred
ited college or university,
while maintaining a 3.30 cu
mulative grade point average
or a scholastic ranking within
the top 15 percent of their
class.
Graham is the daughter of
Chris and Rhonda Graham and
a graduate of Jenkins County
High School.
At GSU she is majoring in
pre-med and pre-nursing.
After graduating from GSU.
she plans to apply to the Medi
cal College of Georgia, where
she hopes to earn a medical de
gree specializing in anesthesia.

Waynesboro for another round of floats, marching bands. Christmas spirit
and smiling faces lining Liberty Street. This year’s theme is
