ness.

neral Home on Wednesday. Jan.
13 from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held
at Botsford Baptist Church,
Thursday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m.
followed by a short graveside
service, officiated by the Rev.
Wayne Dixon.
Mrs. Lively was born in
Effingham County on Nov. 22,
1926 to Morris Victor and
Freddie Lee Glisson. She mar
ried Q. U. Lively Sr. in
Waynesboro on Dec. 22, 1946,
and partnered with him in rais
ing their four children, Quartus
Urbane Lively Jr. (Susan) of
Waynesboro, Donald C. Lively
of Waynesboro, Sherry Lively
Brinson (Larry) of Decatur, Ga.,
and William B. Lively (Debbie)
of Waynesboro. Mr. and Mrs.
Lively farmed their property in
Shell Bluff for nearly 40 years
before retiring in 1984.
Mrs. Lively, “Kat,” was a
longtime member of Botsford
Baptist Church and served in
many different positions in her
years there, including Sunday
School Teacher, Bible School
Director and WMU Leader. She
sang in the Botsford choir up
until one month before her
death. Mrs. Lively volunteered
as a Pink Lady at Burke Medi
cal Center for many years be
fore moving to Brentwood Ter
race in November of 2007.
Mrs. Lively is survived by her
four children; her grandchil
dren, Shannon Lively Norton
(Scott) of Martinez, Ga.,
Quartus Urbane Lively III
(Amy) of Waynesboro, Emily
Katherine Lively of Lakewood,
Colo., Abbey Lively Miller (Jer
emy) of Austin, Texas, Zachary
S. Lively (Rachel) of San Diego,
Calif., Joseph Larry Brinson of
Redondo Beach, Calif., Stefan
Lively Brinson of Decatur,
Kaitlyn Aliza Brinson of
Decatur, Lauren Yelton Lively
and William Boyd Lively Jr.
both of Waynesboro; a special
niece, BeLea Lively Davidson,
(George) of Augusta, Ga.; her
four great grandchildren,
Maisey Grace Norton, Rilyn
Faith Norton, Saylor Kate
Norton of Martinez, Ga., and
Holland Paige Miller, of Austin;
two sisters, Alice Glisson Deal
(Travis) of Metter, Ga., and
Margie Glisson Kirkland of
Waynesboro; two brothers, Ed
ward E. Glisson (Jackie), of
Waynesboro and Truman Lee
Glisson (Jean), of Metter; as
well as her brother-in-law, sis-
ters-in-law and many nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, her beloved hus
band and two brothers, Morris
Victor Glisson (Alice) and
George Lewis Glisson (Grace).
Pallbearers will be Mrs.
Lively’s sons and grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be

Glisson, Larry W. Brinson,
Travis Deal, Scott Norton, Jer
emy Miller, George Davidson
and Avner, Allen and DeRossie

University Hospital in Augusta.

Born in Millen, Ga., on July
28, 1943, he was a son of the
late Samuel Edward Milhous Sr.
and Fannie Johnson Milhous.
He was a founding member
of Renewal Community Church
in Augusta, Ga. He graduated
from Palmer Chiropractic Col
lege in Davenport, Iowa, with a
Doctorate Degree on Oct. 19,
1966. He practiced for 44V2
years until his sudden death.
His first love was always God,
second was his wife, third was
his children and fourth was his
church family.
