Cherrie Strickland Beall
Cherrie Strickland Beall, age
78, Hazlehurst, died Saturday,
Sept. 18, 2010.
Funeral services will be
Wednesday, Sept. 22, (today) at
4 p.m. from the Chapel of
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home
with the Rev. Barry Owens of
ficiating.
Interment will be in the
Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
Mrs. Beall was born Feb. 24,
1932 in Tattnall County to the
late Tillman Strickland and the
late Ethel Durrance Strickland.
She was formerly employed
by the Waynesboro Chamber of
Commerce and was secretary
for the First Baptist Church in
Hazlehurst for more than 25
years. She was the widow of the
late W.G. Beall.
Survivors include two daugh
ters Deborah Chance of Warner
Robins and Susan Summers of
Austin, Texas; a son Gary Beall
of Hazlehurst; two brothers,
Jesse Strickland of Savannah
and Darwin Strickland of
Acworth; five grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren;
and several nieces and nephews.

Richard Winslow Gasink
Richard Winslow Gasink died
unexpectedly on Aug. 31, 2010
while bicycling.
Dick was born in St. Paul,
Minn., on May 16, 1949.
He is survived by his wife of
37 years, Virginia Blount
Gasink, formerly of
Waynesboro, Ga.; their two
children, Lila Gasink of Cedar
City, Utah, and Griffin Edward
Gasink of Chicago.
In addition to a brother, Don
Gasink, and a sister, Mary G.
Loeher, and their families, Dick
is survived by many relatives in
the extended Blount family.
A memorial service was held
on Saturday, Sept. 4, at St.
Andrews Presbyterian Church
in Tampa Palms, Fla.
