Carolyn Lyn” Law Day
Carolyn "Lyn” Law Day, age
64, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010.
Lyn was originally from
Millen, Ga., but spent many
years in Waynesboro raising her
family. She had been a resident
of St. Simons Island for the last
16 years.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, W.A. Law Jr. and
Carolyn Palmer Law.
She is survived by her hus
band, James Day; two sons,
James Lee Day II (Amy) of
Charlotte, N.C. and Shelly Day
(Meg) of Martinez, Ga.; five
grandchildren, Andrew, Peyton,
Erin, Keaton and Olivia Day; a
brother, Joe Law of Millen; and
a sister. Palmer Ellsworth of St.
Simons Island.
A celebration of Life Service
will be held on Thursday, Oct.
14, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of
Edo Miller and Sons Funeral
Home with Chaplain Pat
McCord officiating.
The family will receive
friends immediately following
the service.
Memorial contributions may
be made to Hospice of the
Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Park
way, Brunswick, GA 31525.

the Rev. Lugene Boyd officiat
ing. Interment will be in the
Cooper Family Memorial Cem
etery.

Ellie Finch Myers, age 65, of
Girard, Ga., passed away Oct.
6, 2010 at her residence in
Girard.
Funeral services were Satur
day, Oct. 9, at 11 a.m. at Th-
ompson-Strickland-Waters
Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Karen
Zeigler officiating.
Visitation was one hour prior
to the service at the funeral
home.
Burial was at Screven County
Memorial Cemetery.
She was born in Screven
County, was a retired florist and
was of Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by
her husband. Jack Myers; par
ents, Comer Finch and Myrtis
Bennett McMillan.
Myers
Survivors included brothers
and sisters-in-law, Willie and
Karen Zeigler, Don Lariscy, Ed
and Kim McMillan and Chris
and Jan McMillan, all of
Sylvania; several nieces and
nephews, Kim Reddick and
Jamie Hayman; several great
nieces and nephews, Trenton
Reddick, Ashlyn Reddick, Brit
tany Reddick, Alisha Hayman
and Brooke Hayman.
Pallbearers were Will Zeigler,
Dustin McMillan, Ethan
McMillan, Nick Mock, Fred
Knight and Willie Zeigler.
