My name is John. I live in the town of Boston. It is quite a sight each day, seeing all the people
and the commotion.
I go to the school of Washington Christian Academy. It is pretty normal each day, but one day
something happened.
News spread that a group of people went up the Hill of Fire. They were searching for a school
that was mentioned in an old legend, but they never came back. After the second day, they lost
contact with the people in Boston.
The next day, the police chief made an announcement. They would be gathering a search party,
and anyone over the age of 14 could volunteer. I don’t know why, but I had a feeling I wanted to
join. I had my friend, Joe, join the search party, too. We were told to meet up at the police station
at 3:30 on Tuesday afternoon.
A couple of days later, we found ourselves in the police station on a hot afternoon. We were
told that we were the only ones that volunteered, but four police officers would be going with us.
We started the long journey up the mountain. All was fine until we saw something. It looked like
smoke coming up from the top of the mountain. After a little while, we came closer. I started feeling
really drowsy. I looked over and saw one of the police officers collapse. Then the world went dark.
I woke up and looked around. The room I was in was full of other bound people. I wondered
how I’d get out. Then I remembered the pocket knife Dad gave me for Christmas one year. I was
barely able to reach it and cut myself free. I went around cutting other people free, too. As soon as
I was done releasing the last person, bad people stormed in. Right away I launched at the leader.
I found out that the people I released were from the first group that came. They helped me fight,
and when I got a chance, I called in air support from town. After a few more minutes, I heard he
licopters and the voices of cops. They came in and arrested all of the criminals we were fighting.
It turns out we were captured in the old school, and the cops found the people that came with
me in another room. The “smoke” that we saw was actually sleeping gas. I will never forget this
exciting, but frightening day.
MIDNIGHT MURDER
One night a young boy went into the woods, and never returned. The next morning a 14 year old
boy named James went into the woods to explore, because he had just moved into a house near the
woods. When he went into the woods, he got a weird chill down his back, but he thought it was
just the wind. As he entered the woods he noticed something off with the trees. He whispered to
himself “W-Why do the trees have faces.” He saw one of the trees in the back of the woods move,
and start to stand and walk towards him. James started running till he got home.
When James got home, he ran to his room, and did not come out till dinner time. When his
mother called him for dinner, as they sat down, his mother Lucy asked him “So did you see any
thing while you were out exploring?” James looked at his mother and whispered “T-The t-trees
move.” “James,” Lucy said. “Dear, can you please speak up?” “The Trees Move!” His mom froze
in fear. She whispered to herself, “It’s happening all over again.” James looked at her confused.
Lucy said, “Do Not Ever Go Back In Those Woods! You Hear Me!” James asked why. Lucy said,
“I do not want them to get you, too.”
When they finished eating dinner, Lucy goes upstairs to bed while James goes outside to take
out the trash. When James throws the trash away he hears a young boy scream “HELPME!” com
ing from the woods. James ran inside, and went to bed. The next morning Lucy went out to the
woods, but James secretly followed her. A tree stood up and chased her until they caught her. She
was trying to scream for help, but James was frozen with fear. He turned around, and ran toward
the house. He grabbed an axe in the shed outside his house. By the time he got to the woods, he
stopped to see Lucy’s body lying in a pile of leaves.
James started to cry. When he turned around, the tree grabbed him. James swung the axe, and it
chopped the trees branch off, dropping James to the ground. As the branch broke, the soul of the
young boy who was found dead the other day came out and said, “You freed me.” Then James
knew he should cut the trees down to free the other souls. So James did just that, but he left one tree
up. His mother's tree that had her face on it. Then the next day James went through his mother’s
stuff and found her diary. When he read it, it said that the trees killed James' father. James always
thought his father moved away, but he did not.

I’M BACK
It was a cool crisp fall day when the family was heading to their grandfather's funeral. Jake,
Jill and their kids Dave and Judy headed into the Appalachian Mountains to the cemetery. Dave
and Judy never got the chance to even meet their Great Grandpa Fester. Their parents had always
talked about how funny he was but they would never know first hand.
The funeral was sad and gloomy. After it was over a distant cousin approached them with a
key to Grandpa Fester’s house and said that he left it to them. When they arrived at the house it
started raining so they quickly ran inside. It was covered in cobwebs and creepy paintings lined
the walls. Upon turning on the lights they heard a man telling them to leave while they still could,
before they ended up like Fester, six feet under. Startled, they spun around to see a man who went
by the name of Snipe the Elusive trickster. His scary mask and eyes glowed red. The family ran
outside, regrouped and then came back in to face him. He was gone!
They slowly started down the hall, huddled together. It appeared that the painting eyes were
following them. Then there was a loud cackle and a man dropped from the rafters, introducing
himself as Hounddome the assassin.
“You better leave before my friend and I kill you and feed you to the wolves of the forest.”
Just then Dave was grabbed by the friend, Master Butcher and they all disappeared in a cloud
of smoke.
Jill hysterically called the police. When they arrived they were torn from limb to limb by Snipe
and Houndome before they even stepped foot in the house. The three started running frantically
around inside. And were chased by their son who had been turned into a monster, with big fangs,
razor sharp claws, red eyes and spikes on his head. They were sure they were trapped when they
hit a secret panel and the wall flipped and they entered a secret crawl space. The relief was short
lived as Monster Dave broke through and bit Judy and turned her into a monster too!
The parents ran frantically and tripped on a trap door which opened and they fell into a secret
room. Jake remembered this room as a child, he often hid here. They found a highly flammable
powder and a bioluminescent substance. The parents needed a plan, they were thinking some kind
of suit was involved and that maybe their kids had not turned into monsters.
They set a trap, and then waited for Houndome’s gang. They covered themselves in the glowing
powder to lure them in. Once they were close enough they threw fire powder on the gang and
trapped them in the net and called the cops.
Sure enough, Judy and Dave had just been hypnotized and stuffed into monster suits! And
Houndome and his gang were going to pay dearly!

On the day of October 29,2016, it was a cold and foggy morning. Clyde Atlas died because of
a plane crash going on vacation with his granddaughter. His granddaughter’s name was Camri
Atlas, and she was now scarred for life.
It was four years later on October 30,2020 after the day of the plane crash. Camri was walking
home from school. She started getting goose bumps, and all of the sudden there was a *DING*
coming from her phone. Camri thought it was just a text from one of her family members or
friends, but what she saw made her run home and cry in her bed. The text was from her grandpa
and it said, “I miss you, Camri.” Camri figured it was someone joking with her.
That night her parents went out to eat and left Camri home alone, so she went to cook something
for supper in her dark, quiet house, and all of the sudden she hears creaks coming down the stairs.
At first she just thought that she was paranoid but the sound got closer.
Camri was now just cooking a beef burrito, and when she was done cooking, she sat down to
eat. When Camri started to take a bite of the food her mama’s favorite vase flew across the room.
So Camri got the vase and put it back on its stand then walked back to her food and sat down.
Camri ate her burrito and walked back upstairs and went to sleep.
The next day when she woke up and couldn’t move. Camri then saw her grandpa standing over
her while laughing evilly, “Mwahahaha.” Her parents came upstairs after they heard her scream
and her door was locked. Finally when her parents got in they found Camri DEAD! At the funeral,
all of her family and friends were there to honor her. They were crying crocodile tears because
Camri was such a loved hometown girl. Camri was there in spirit, and as one, she could see other
spirits. Looking around watching her family and friends grieve, something caught her eye. It was
her grandfather and he was killing everyone, one by one! Since Camri was not a person anymore
she couldn’t do anything but watch.
