Many say the year 2020 “is the worst year ever”. You may
agree. One thing is for sure we have seen the best and the
worst human behavior. People have saved lives while others
have taken them. Individuals have generously given and made
sacrifices while other have looted and vandalized properties.
There is fear that nothing will go back to normal and more social
upheaval and unrest awaits.
How do we make things better in a divided country? Do we
need more laws, bomb detectors, or social media reform? None
of those things are the answer because they elude the problem.
What can take away our sin? What can make us whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Only Jesus can change the
hearts of people.
What you may not realize about yourself is that God created
you as spirit. God made you in His image. God is Spirit and
anyone who worships Him will do so in spirit and in truth. You
are a spiritual being capable of knowing God, hearing His voice,
and doing miraculous things even as Christ did. If any man be
in Christ, he is a new creation. If you believe and meditate on
this one truth God will revolutionize you.
The Lord makes you whole first in your spirit. Once you
surrender and make Jesus your Lord the race is on my friend!
Your spirit wakes up to an intimate friendship with Christ. You
change as the the Lord renews your soul which makes up your
emotions, intellect and will. As He reforms your soul your body
gains strength and it too is able to receive healing. We can be
whole beings, spirit, soul and body. We can rise up and walk
but only in the name of Jesus Christ.

PSALMS 118
1. O give thanks unto the Ford; for he is good: because his
mercy endureth for ever.
2. Fet Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
3. Fet the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth
for ever.
4. Fet them now that fear the Ford say, that his mercy endureth
for ever.
5. I called upon the Ford in distress: the Ford answered me,
and set me in a large place.
6. The Ford is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do
unto me?
7. The Ford taketh my part with them that help me: therefore
shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.
8. It is better to trust in the Ford than to put confidence in man.
9. It is better to trust in the Ford than to put confidence in
princes.
10. All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the
Ford will I destroy them.
11. They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about:
but in the name of the Ford I will destroy them.
12. They compassed me about like bees: they are quenched as
the fire of thorns: for in the name of the Ford I will destroy them.
13. Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the Ford
helped me.
14. The Ford is my strength and song, and is become my
salvation.
15. The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of
the righteous: the right hand of the Ford doeth valiantly.
16. The right hand of the Ford is exalted: the right hand of the
Ford doeth valiantly.
17.1 shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Ford.
18. The Ford hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given
me over unto death.
19. Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them,
and I will praise the Ford:
20. This gate of the Ford, into which the righteous shall enter.
21.1 will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become
my salvation.
22. The stone which the builders refused is become the head
stone of the corner.
23. This is the Ford's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
24. This is the day which the Ford hath made; we will rejoice
and be glad in it.
25 Save now, I beseech thee, O Ford: O Ford, I beseech thee,
send now prosperity.
26. Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Ford: we have
blessed you out of the house of the Ford.
27. God is the Ford, which hath shewed us light: bind the
sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.
28. Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God,
I will exalt thee.
29. O give thanks unto the Ford; for he is good: for his mercy
endureth for ever.

Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning
Centers (21st CCLC) Return to Burke County
Advisory Council Members Needed
The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st
CCLC) program provides federal funding for the establishment of
community learning centers that provide, during non-school hours or
periods when school is not in session, such as before and after school
or during summer recess, academic, artistic and cultural enrichment
opportunities for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty
and low-performing schools, in order to meet state and local standards
in core academic subjects such as reading, math and science.
This program also offers students a broad array of activities and
includes families and the community in the educational process. Two
of these programs are established in the Burke County School District;
one is at Burke County Middle School and the other one is at Blakeney
Elementary School.
To better serve the community, we are in the process of organizing our
2020-2021 Advisory Council. The purpose of the Advisory Council is
to monitor program progress, determine areas of need, and provide
resources to the program. All parents, stakeholders and community
members are invited to join the Advisory Council. If you are interested,
please Email Dr. Jessica Edenfield at: jedenfield@burke.k12.ga.us
