A LITTLE SPRING CLEANING CAN
GETYOU IN TROUBLE
Brandon Williams
Fifth grade
Blakeney Elementary School
There was this lady named Gail. All she
wanted to do was some spring cleaning.
She was in the garage dusting around the
place. She found this wooden box. Well she
opened it and she was looking in the box
for nothing. Well she was sucked in and she
was in a place where there are trees as as big as a brachiosaurus
and leaves bigger than her.
She needed to get home before anyone started to look for her.
But then she started getting sleepy and sleepy until she fell asleep.
She woke up and saw the Easter Bunny. She said, “Are you the
bunny who beat the jackal ope?"
He says yes but be quiet captain hare’s guards are out looking
for me.
Who is captain hare?
He is a friend of the jackalope’s. Brr Brr Brr mam are you cold
very. I can go get the giant leaf. Here this should keep you warm
Thank you.
You’re welcome.
Guard get down and be quiet ok.
They got down behind the rock and fell asleep. They woke
up and saw no guards so the bunny woke up Gail and they were
off. He started to ask how did you get here. She said well I was
cleaning in my garage. I found a wooden box and I looked in it
and it sucked me in. The bunny said let me look around you and
he said oh no. There is a tracker on you.
He looks behind and there are guards running straight for them.
He says let’s go. They are running and the bunny looks back and
see’s captain hare on his “Haricycle.” Gail says bunny go fight
then he pulls the hare off his bike and says let’s dance. Hare say’s
bring it on. Bunny does the triple egg splitter, but the hare get’s
shield. Bunny has a new attack — eggs alive. They get all over
hare he says you won you won. They get on the “Haricycle” and
take off. Let's get you home.
An hour later she got home and never wants to spring clean
again.
SPRING FEVER

Have you ever heard of Spring Fever?
Well, I got to meet him last Spring.
He was a funny looking man. He was tall and slim. His hair
was green like grass. He was wearing a headband that was pink
with bunny ears on it. His eyes were shaped like Easter eggs
with lots of bright colors. His cheeks were rosy red, and his lips
were bright purple.
He was wearing a necklace full of colorful flowers. His shirt
was covered with bunnies and his pants were green. His socks
were covered with colorful Easter eggs that matched his eyes.
His shoes had large, floppy flowers on them. He was happy and
seemed to be so excited. He jumped and down like a bunny.
His voice was loud and when he talked, it seemed more like
he was singing.
His first name was Spring and his last name was Fever. He
said Spring was his favorite season and guess what? Easter is
his favorite holiday.
I think he lives with the Easter Bunny, and I bet he is the Eas
ter Bunny’s number one helper. I hope you get to meet Spring
Fever, too!

THE SPRING FEVER MAYHEM
AN EASTER TRAIL

Ahhh, the birds chirping,
flowers blooming, rabbits
hopping and Spring Fever.
Wait, what, Spring Fever?
“Hey, I love spring, how
about you?” added Spring
Fever, “Welp I’ll see you later!” and in a moment's time Spring
Fever was off to her house.
If you walk into Spring Fever’s room you’d think that spring
2020 threw up on spring 2021. She had grass! Grass! On her
floor and a whole flower garden in her bed! I guess she likes a
stiff mattress? “Still not good enough! Time for plan B!” huffed
Spring fever. After an hour she was finished. She had added fake
trees because her parents wouldn’t let her have real ones, bunnies
galore and ducklings!
She then entered into the kitchen and her parents had just fin
ished cooking their annual Fever start-of-spring dinner. They had
a great feast, as a main course. They had noodles with asparagus
draped over the noodles, as a side they had bread and some greens,
but one thing was missing ,the cake!
Spring had questioned her parents asking why there was no
cake. Of course her parents hadn’t had a reason, they just didn’t
make it so they lied and said “We um didn’t have any ingredients!”
but Spring wasn’t buying it so she went into the fridge and saw
that they indeed did have every single ingredient for the cake.
So, with that being said Spring started on the cake. Everything
went smooth until she had a measurement that she couldn’t find
so she eyeballed it. Then she put it in the oven. The cake was
cooked perfectly and then she decorated it to look like a spring
held with a bunny frolicking across the flowered plains. Then it
was time for dinner Spring and her parents put the pasta, bead,
and three tier cake onto the dinner table.
They put their hands together and prayed. “Dig in!” Springs
dad exclaimed. They had a nice long chat together over dinner
and then the big question came up “Are you going to be this
excessive next year, spring?” Spring's parents asked together
and not to their surprise Spring simply said “Of course!” and
got right back to eating.

I was cleaning out my garage, and I found a mysterious wooden
box. The box looked pretty new. I was not sure if I should open
it, but I opened the box and there was a huge golden egg inside.
I opened it and inside the golden egg there was a note that said
“Whoever seeks this note will be granted real golden eggs, but
first you must complete a task. Follow the eggs, and you will find
the Easter Bunny napping. Get the golden eggs without waking
the Bunny.” So I asked my mom if I could follow the trail, and
she said yes, so I started my journey.
I followed the trail of easter eggs for about 20 minutes, and
then I reached another task on a tree. It said, “Here you find the
turtle behind the slide you love the most.” I was at the park, and
I wondered if behind the slide I would find my next clue .So I
looked behind the slide I love most, and sure enough, there was
a turtle with a note! The note said nothing. “Hmmm,” I thought.
“Maybe because turtles live near the lake, I should head in that
direction.”
I thought about it for a few minutes, then headed in that direc
tion.
Once again I followed the trail and there was a cross road. So
I went with my gut and headed towards the lake with the easter
eggs. I got to the lake and I looked all around the lake and there
was no note, so I headed back the way I came, and realized that
turtles don’t live in the lake, and the other path lead to the ocean,
so I went down the other path.
Once I got to the ocean, all I wanted to do was go and get in
the ocean, but I had to look for the note. I found the note and it
said, ”If you are brave enough go into the cave.” The sky was
getting dark so I headed back for home, and went to go and play
with my dolls, and as soon as I got home it started raining.
The next day it was bright and sunny so I headed to the beach
and followed the easter eggs into a forest. Then the easter eggs
stopped in front of a cave. I wondered if this is where the Easter
Bunny Is napping. So I entered the cave And in front of me there
was a giant bunny in front of me, and beside the Easter Bunny
there was a bag of Easter eggs. I grabbed them and then I realized
that the bunny looked funny, like balloon, so I touched the bunny
and it didn’t wake up. So I thought it was a joke so I said, ’’You
can come out now Mom and Dad” but nobody answered. So I
picked up the basket of eggs and nobody was behind the basket.
I headed for home with the basket, and sure enough there was my
Mom and Dad. I laughed and they said they tried to scare me, but
they didn’t because nobody was home when I left this morning.
At home we had our spring party as usual.
