Kemp bans vaccine
passports in Georgia
DAVE WILLIAMS
Capitol Beat News Service
ATFANTA - Gov. Brian
Kemp signed an executive
order Tuesday prohibiting state
agencies, state service provid
ers, and state properties from
requiring COVID-19 vaccine
passports.
The order also forbids vac
cine passports as a condi
tion for entering Georgia and
prohibits state agencies from
treating unvaccinated employ
ees differently from those who
have received vaccinations.
"While I continue to urge all
Georgians to get vaccinated
so we continue our momen
tum in putting the COVID-19
pandemic in the rearview, vac
cination is a personal decision
between each citizen and a
medical professional - not state
government,” Kemp said in a

city for its citizens without this
cloud above it.
There is already an election
in November, so the city would
not have to pay anything extra
for a special election. Car-
swell would also quit collect
ing his salary, saving the city
that money as well. A salary
that he collected over the last
five months knowing he had
been indicted. A knowledge of

blow counterclockwise.
What if a hurricane decided
to cross the equator?
Would it suddenly reverse

“This order also clearly
states that data held by the
Georgia Department of Public
Health and their immunization
system will not be used by any
public or private entity for a
vaccine passport program."
Other Republican-led states
have taken similar steps to ban
state agencies from requiring
vaccine passports, while some
have gone further by banning
private businesses from requir
ing such documentation.
But some countries have
moved to require travelers to
show proof they’ve been vacci
nated against the virus or proof
of a recent negative COVID-19
test as a condition for entry.
In California, venues can
allow more people to enter if
they prove they have received
vaccinations.

In Loving Memory of
Mack Carter Jr
May 18,1926-May 5,2021
Mack Carter, a long-time senior citizen of Waynesboro, was a
loving Father, Grand-father, Great-Grandfather, and Uncle with
an exceptionally large extended family and many friends. He was
bom on May 18, 1926 to the late Mack Carter Sr and Ophelia
Gregory-Carter of Millen, Georgia. He was the last survivor of
five children from this union. Mack is a prominent member of two
distinguished family trees, the Carter’s of Keysville and Gough,
and the Gregory’s of Millen, Georgia. Mack also enjoyed being
himself, whether that meant living his best life just hanging out
at lake view fishing, socializing with friends, or driving around
the town hollering at the people. He could be seen often stopping
by his usual hotspots for a friendly chat, getting the daily news
update. Mack attended Bogg’s Academy for his early learning
and education. His first real jobs after leaving the family farm,
included long-haul track driving fruits deliveries up and down
the East coast; and the next was working as the first African
American local gas truck driver for the ProGas Company (Aka:
TruFlame) making deliveries for 35+yrs. He married his long
time sweetheart and partner for life, Mrs. Helen Carter, raising
two caring children Shelia (Rochester, NY), and the late Mack
Jr, (Augusta, GA), Granddaughters Kendra Mitchell and Whitney
Bostic, both of Waynesboro, Great-Grandson Kameron Mitchell
(Springfield, MO) and Great-Granddaughter Kamillie Mitchell
of (Norfolk, VA). Mack performed his patriotic duty, and due
diligence to Waynesboro, and his country by serving as a drafted
enlistee in the US Navy during World War II, with his first duty
station being Camp Blanding, Florida. If you were blessed to
know Mack personally, then you know of his deep passion and
love of dogs. He was an avid supporter and participant with “The
Bird Dog Capital of the World” Annual Event, and regardless of
weather, rain, sleet or shine, he was there doing what he loved
doing best, following his real passion and love of dogs. To all
those that genuinely care and loved Mack, this true Waynesboro
Citizen will be missed very much. It is with great regrets, that we
are informing you of his passing unexpectantly of natural causes
on May 5,2021 and due to COVID-19 restrictions, he has been
buried at the Pine Hill Church Cemetery.
