Pastor Tracy B. Brown
On September 19, 2021, the First Baptist Church Family, Gough Community
celebrated 116 years of Church Anniversary. We thank our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ for allowing us all to come together in the beauty of holiness. On our an
niversary day, there was so much joy and great fellowship. During one of many
highlights of the service, our history was read and it reminded us all how far and
how much was done down through the years. Also during the service, the Saxon
Family did a beautiful Memoriam Tribute to their father, the Late Deacon Bennie
F. Saxon. They highlighted how he loved his family and his church family and
what type of man he was. The Late Deacon Bennie F. Saxon had a heart for God
by serving the First Baptist Church Family during his time. The Late Deacon
Bennie F, Saxon has been with the Lord for many years now but his legacy lives
on through his children. We could all see on this day when his children stood up
before the church with smiles on their faces as they expressed a heart of love
for their father. The Saxon Family truly blessed us by sharing many wonderful
things about their father. His legacy lives on through his children Josie, Baby
Lou, Willie P, Alice, Ruth, Baby Doll, Dottie, Early Baker, Buddy, Hornsby,
and Debbie Drake. We thank God for the Saxon Family and the many kind acts
they have done for their father’s church, First Baptist, down through the years.
The Late Deacon Bennie F. Saxon would be so proud of how his children are
still serving him by serving and blessing his church. We the First Baptist Church
Family are grateful for the Saxon Family and their contributions in honoring
their father, the Late Deacon Bennie F. Saxon.
Yours truly,
Pastor Tracy B. Brown
