Barbara G. Kosydar
William Henry Gay
Edwin Thomas Drew
Barbara G. Kosydar, 78, entered into eternal rest on Sunday,
February 6,2022. She was bom on May 26,1943, in Lansdale,
Penn, to the late William Russell
and Charlotte Naomi Davis Rus
sell. She was a graduate of North
Penn High School.
In her younger years, Barbara
was very involved in the Girl
Scouts. Barbara was a soccer
mom and band mom. Barbara
enjoyed traveling to many des
tinations but especially enjoyed
being at Myrtle Beach with her
grandchildren.
She belonged to the “Mountain
Mamas and Beach Babes” social
group. She was truly a loving
mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Barbara was a
member of Green’s Cut United Methodist Church. In addition
to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Joseph Michael Kosydar.
Surviving are her son, Doug Kosydar (Natalie) of New
Orleans, La.; a daughter,Tammy Gay (Scott) of Waynesboro;
two grandsons, Bobby Gay (Abbey) of Waynesboro and Rusty
Gay of Athens; a great-grandson, Deason Gay of Waynes
boro; a brother, Gary Russell (Petra) of Oak Island, NC; two
cousins, Dottie and Tina Reese of Conshohocken, Pa.; and
several other relatives.
A memorial service honoring Barbara’s life will be held on
Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. outdoors at the
cross at Green’s Cut United Methodist Church, 263 Greens
Cut Church Rd. Waynesboro, GA 30830, with Reverend Jerry
Sharpe officiating.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the

into eternal rest on Thursday, February 3, 2022. Graveside
Services will be held Saturday,
February 12, 2022, 12:00 noon

Visitation for the immediate
family will be held Friday, Feb
ruary 11, 2022 from 2:00-3:00
p.m. and public viewing will
be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure.
You are loved beyond words, and missed
beyond measure. We will love you forever!
strong willed. William liked
helping people, enjoyed fishing
and working on cars and became
known as the “Best Mechanic in
Waynesboro”. He loved his chil
dren, and great grandchildren,
calling them often and loved his
dogs, Sadie and Little Man.
He is preceded in death by his
parents, Daisy and Gus Gay; two
sisters, Marsha Gay and Joyce
Wilson; a brother, Roger Gay,
and two grandsons, Kevin Cook
and Jacobie Lane.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lynda Gay; three
daughters, Lynda Llamas of Waynesboro, Cynthia Gay of
Augusta, and Angelia Roswell (Jim) of Hephzibah; a son,
William Henry Gay, Jr. (LeeAnn) of Waynesboro; a sister,
Brenda Banks of Waynesboro; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great
grandchildren.
No services are being held at this time.

Visitation for the immediate

9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service for viewing.

Acres Community Empowerment Committee (MACEC).
She was dedicated to empowering children and
youth for success.

Mr. Edwin Thomas Drew, 86, the son of the late Burwell
and Mollie Drew, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday,
January 26, 2022, at Keysville
Nursing Home. He was a native
and lifelong resident of Burke
County and was retired from
Swank Incorporated, after many
years of service. He was a mem
ber of the Sons of the Confeder
ate Veterans.
In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by his
brothers, John D. Drew, B.J.
Drew, Jr.; and two sisters, Quida
Drew Davis and Melonae Drew.
Surviving are five nephews and
two nieces.
Graveside Services will be 12 noon Saturday, February 5,
2022, in the Midville City Cemetery with Pat Dye and Rev
erend Randy Carnly officiating.
