HARLEM, GA - Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Jefferson Bras
well, Sr., 70, passed peacefully on April 13, 2022, with his
beloved family by his side. He
courageously bore up against an
extended illness, fighting to the
end. He was born and raised in
Burke County but moved to Har
lem in 1986. He was a member of
the Harlem Masonic Lodge #276.
After many years in law enforce
ment, Tommy went to work for
State Farm and retired after 25
years. In retirement, he loved
being with family and friends,
working on project vehicles,
camping, hunting, fishing, watching deer in his yard, and just
loving life. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert
H. and Lucille Sikes Braswell; a sister, Eugenia Scott; and a
brother, Bobby Braswell.
He is survived by his best friend and much-loved wife of 42
years, Joan; three children, Jeff Braswell (Gloria) of Rincon
and their children T.J. and E.C., William Braswell (Kelly)
of Harlem and their children Natalie and Rylie, and Brandy
Gould (Clayton) of Grovetown and their child Sydney; a
brother, Johnny Braswell (Cherry) of Waynesboro; a sister,
Betty Whitaker (Richard) of North Augusta; and many other
relatives.
The family received friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Fri
day, April 15 at the funeral home. Funeral services were held
at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 16 in the DeLoach-McKerley-
Prescott Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Magnolia
Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to The Georgia Cancer Center
at Augusta University Medical Center.

Mr. Charlie Collins, age 87, of Miami, Florida, entered into
eternal rest on Sunday, April 10,2022. Funeral Services will

Waynesboro, GA 30830. Interment will be in Pines Cemetery,
Waynesboro, GA 30830.

Zailin Ja’Kobe Hunter, 2 months, entered into rest Thursday,
April 14, 2022. He was born on January 16, 2022 to Kirsten
Helen Hunter and Savin Darrell
LaShawn Jones. He was a loving,
happy, and precious baby, who
always was smiling. Zailin was
here too early and gone to soon.
He was preceded in death by,
Ronald Hunter, Sr., Fred James,
Max Anglin, Helen Anglin, Monk
Bullard, and Zechariah Jones, Jr.
In addition to his parents, Zailin
is survived by grandmothers,
Tammy Worman of Statesboro
and Jamese Smith of Statesboro;
grandfathers, Gregory L. Littles
of Statesboro and Henry Church of Hephzibah; great grand
parents, Susie Hunter of Surrency, GA and Cynthia Lonon
(Franklin) of Statesboro; great great grandmother, Evelyn
Bullard of Baxley; aunt, Brittney Hughes (Dylan) of States
boro; uncle, Dennis Worman, Jr. of Alexander; aunts, Jayden
Smith of Statesboro, Eriyana Buxton of Statesboro, Shavonya
Little of Statesboro, JaMya Littles of Statesboro, Haven Lee
of Sylvania, and Nichole Deal (Matt) of Bristol, GA; uncle,
Ishmeall Young of Swainsboro; special cousin, Hailey Dore
of Hephzibah; and numerous cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, April 20 at the funeral home. Funeral Services
will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 21 in the funeral home
chapel. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.

Paul Grady Mobley, Jr., 74, entered into rest Tuesday, April
12, 2022. He was a lifelong resident of Burke County. He
farmed for 47 years and was a
successful businessman. He was
a former Mayor and active mem
ber of the City Council of Girard.
He is survived by his wife
of 51 years, Ramona Chandler
Mobley; a daughter, Monika
Mobley of Waynesboro; three
sons, Grady Brandon Mobley
(Ashleigh) of Waynesboro, Ryan
Paul Mobley (Bailey) of Girard,
and Evan Daniel Mobley (Katie)
of Girard; three grandchildren,
Cole Parker Mobley, Marlee
Lynn Mobley, and Ellee Grace
Mobley; a brother, Thomas Mack
Mobley of Girard; a sister, Sandra Mobley of Atlanta; and
many other relatives.
The family received friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Thurs
day, April 14 at the funeral home. Funeral services were held at
11:00 a.m. Friday, April 15 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott
Funeral Home Chapel with Leroy Lane and Rev. Steve Sirmons
officiating. Burial followed at Burke Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers were Michael O’Neal, Kyle Alexander,
Ben Knight, Jerry Baker, Wendell Lynn, Clint Forehand, Leroy
Lane, and Justin Chandler.

far, due to God’s grace, and
