Keysville Community Garden
Twenty-five community members, adults and children, showed up Saturday, April 23 to support
an effort to clear weeds and plant in the Keysville Community Garden. Community members
joined in and donated all of the plants and needed tools. Community members joined in and
donated all of the plants and tools (rakes, hoes, and plow) that were needed. After clearing the
area and laying in the rows, the children planted tomatoes, peas, carrots and strawberries. At
the conclusion of the planting, members of the community had prepared donated refreshments
including hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, cookies, apples, sodas and water for all.
