The Burke County Sheriff’s
Office warns that parents who
encourage kids to fight will be
prosecuted.
Two disturbing videos post
ed on the BCSO Facebook
page Friday, August 5 show
adults encouraging minors to
fist fight. Destiney Scott, 20,
drove three juvenile females
to the 100 block of Winter
Grove Road August 4 where
they confronted and attacked
two juvenile females who live
at the address. Scott is heard
on the cell phone video stating
that the fight needed to take
place because of words that

The Burke County Sheriff’s
Office found Harden lying on
the shoulder of Watkins Pond

determined Harden had been
shot and killed in an Augusta
home and then his body was

According to an incident
report, Scott was also video
recorded striking one of the
minor females and pushing an
other 12 year old. The fighting
incident was part of an ongoing
rift regarding a relationship one
of the minors was involved in,
the incident report states.
The video shows four fe
male juveniles violently hit
ting each other while dogs
run around them barking and
growling. The BCSO issued
five outstanding warrants for
Scott, including three counts of
contributing to the delinquency
of minors and two counts of
simple battery.

behavior,” the BCSO post
reads. “Areport was forwarded
to juvenile court for review and
charges for your accomplices.”
In a separate incident, Tila
Medlock, Waynesboro, was
arrested and charged with
two counts of contributing to
the delinquency of a minor
after she approached a group
of juveniles in Pecan Grove
neighborhood. Accompanied
by her juvenile daughter, she
encouraged a fight with another
10-year-old female.
“If you want to fight my
daughter, then get at it,” Med
lock is heard saying in a video.
An unidentified male broke up
the fight and told Medlock kids
had no business fighting.
“Johnson and Rouse are cur
rently in the Burke County De
tention Center, and Killebrew
is in the Richmond County
Detention Center on unrelated
charges,” stated a BCSO press
release August 3. “This is an
on-going investigation and
more arrests are forth coming.”
fighting
According to the BCSO
incident report, there had been
ongoing issues between Med-
lock’s daughter and the other
children. Medlock stated she
believed they just needed to
fight to solve their problems,
the incident report states.
“Needless to say this is not
acceptable behavior from a
parent” another BCSO Face-
book post reads. “This behav
ior will not be tolerated and we
expect to prosecute Medlock
and any other parent who be
lieves this is the best course of
action to solve children's issues
to the fullest extent of the law.”
