A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on May 31,2023 at 10:00 a.m. LOCAL TIME starting at the entrance to Blak
eney Elementary School, 100 Olympic Drive, Waynesboro, Georgia, 30830. The Pre-bid conference is mandatory in order
to submit a bid. Prospective Bidders not attending the Pre-Bid Conference will not be allowed to submit bids on the project.

Advertisement for Request for Proposals
The Burke County Board of Education publicly advertises its intention to contract for the replace
ment of the roofing and HVAC systems at the Burke County Life Center located at 500 Park Dr.,
Waynesboro, GA 30830.
This Notice further advertises a Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals from qualified firms pur
suant to O.C.G.A. 36-91 -20 et. Seq. for the “Burke County Life Center Reroof and HVAC Reno
vation”, dated December 16th, 2022. In this regard, all interested persons desiring to contract
with the Board of Education for the construction of the said project shall submit sealed proposals
marked “Burke County Life Center Reroof and HVAC Renovation”, regarding the same to the
Burke County Board of Education at its offices located at 789 Burke Veterans Parkway, Waynes
boro, GA 30830, no later than 2:00 p.m., E.S.T., on June 15th, 2023. At such time and place, all
sealed proposals shall be opened so as to avoid disclosure of contents to competing offerors.
A mandatory pre-proposal conference will be held on-site at the Burke County Life Center located
at 500 Park Dr, Waynesboro, GA 30830 on May 31st, at 2 p.m. Only contractors who attend the
pre-proposal meeting may be considered a responsive proposer.
