Tho Philadelphia City Hall is still un
finished. Between eleven and twelve
millions of dollars have boon expended
upon it since the laying of the corner
stone, in 1872. It is the largest build
ing, finished or in course of completion,
in the United Slates, and is cstim ited to
cover 2,800 more square loot than tlio
C'apitol at Washington. Tho tower on
the north side will lie surmounted by a
statue of Penn, and its extreme height
when cimpleted will he 533 feet. It has
now reached a height of 270 feet.

shrimps, 200 tons of sardines, salmon,
etc., and 50 tons of shrimp shells nnd
fish manure. Tho shrimps are the most
valuable, bringing in China an average
of $300 per ton, Tlio sardines and sal
mon are worth $200 per ton, and the
refuse $10 per ton, or a total of $87,000
for the 400 tons of product. For years
the shipments averaged three ft month,

export of $3,132,000 worth of stuff.
