We do not believe in blowing our
horn but we must tell you about our
thanksgiving feast. We had a very
nice program and dinner on the
ground. We had any thing from old
time chickenstew to “possum and
tater.” Everybody stemed to enjoy
themselves especially our teacher.
It was told that he ate a whole
possum a turkey and a waiter of
potatoes, we wouldn't certify to this
being a fact but we know he did
his part well but was able to go
bird hunting Saturday.
Bro. D. S. Grendle filled his regu
lar appointment here Saturday and
Sunday and had a large congrega
tion both days in spite of the cold
weather.
Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Paraham who
have been visiting their son Mr. J.
0. Paraham for the past two weeks
leave today for their home in north
Georgia.
Syrup making is all the go in our
commnnity even the boys out here
are sweet,
We have a committee out collect
ing funds for a X'Mas tree. If they
come to you for a dollar please
don’t refuse, we already have ten
or fifteen dollars but we need all
we can get. We are looking forward
to a nice time, everybody is cordial
ly invited.
We are grieved to learn of the
death of the little infant son of Mr.
and Mrs. Arch Young of near Arp.
Interment was here yesterday. We
extend our sympathy to the be
reaved parents.
Our school is progressing nicely,
we now have 50 enrolled and are
expecting some more in the near
future.

David Stanton Hussey
David Stanton Hussey the infant
son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwan Hussey
died Monday night and was laid to
rest in Evergreen Cemetery last
Tuesday afternoon, Rev. E. A. Wan
less officiating.
Episcopal Bazaar To Be
