Editor Leader-Enterprise;
Dear Sir;
There is a State law which
makes it compulsory for a man
seeking public office to have a
resident qualification, so as to
keep the management of our
affairs in the hands of taxpayers
The Enterprise from time to time

and this would seem especially‘
appropriate to the spending of
tax payers money, but for some
reason, possibly personal dif
ference, it has never been ap
plied either in city or county
affairs.

people of Fitzgerald were
poor when it’s charter was
issued and with the prodigal
use of public money it must re
main so.
Sydney Clare,
The Story Telllng Hour for
parents (accompanied by their
chiidren) came off as promised
at the Carnegie Library last
evening. The attendance was
small, due in part of course 1o
the busy times just before
Christmas. However, the ne
cessity for parents and teachers
to come together still continues
a crying need and other occa
sions will be offered for the
isame purpose, as Dr. Ford and
the Story Telling Committee are
all of one mind on this point and
are willing to give much pains
taking effort to bring about a
happy union of home and school
interest. Another worker in
this line is Mrs. J. E. Andrews
of the Mothers Aid Committee
from whom we expect to
have an article scon onthe sub-
Jectof the Parent Teachers
Association. A number of Vie
tor Records were loaned by Mrs-
Dickey for the Graphophone
used by Dr. Ford as a pleasing
addition to the program of
beautiful stories that were charm
ingly told by Mrs. R. E. Lee and
Misses Prentiss a n d Mathews.
Mrs. Wimberley thought th e
program long enough before her
| time came and promises hers

mus stories.
