is of the Egyptian species of

John S. Ellington, the four
year old grandson of W. H.
Ellington of Roanoke Drive,
passed away on Thursday and
his body laid torest in Evergreen
cemetery, yesterday.
The steeple of the first Bab
tist Church, which was struck
by lightninog and partiaily con
sumed by fire during the Gunn
tent meeting has been repaired,
though not built so high as the
former steeple, being cut off
square and finished with an or
namented railing.
The *‘Blue Llne” dray team
took a lively spin over in First
Ward Tuesday evening, finally
bringing up at their barn with
out break or mishap of any kind.
J. C, Buckley showed us some
fine looking Stuart pecans from
lhis five year old trees. They
bore some last year and this year
he has 100 trees with from one
cluster to 150 clusters. He has
270 trees altogether which will
increase in value each year.

Hospital, where Mrs. E. Casey
was operated on for tumor
three weeks ago, reports the pa
tient doing splendidly. She had
been a suflerer from supposed
sciatica for years. The removal 4
of a tumor completely eradjc;i'
ted the pain. i
