Robert Williford Son of Mr.
John W illiford who lives • near
Paoli, happened to a serious acci
dent during Christmas week. He
was going along with his gun when
he came to a creek where there was
afoot log. In walking the log,
his foot slipped causing him to fall.
In falling the hammer of his gun
struck agaiust, causing the gun to
fire, and the whole load entering
his arm. Dr. L. G, Hardman, of
Harmony GroVe, was telegraphed
for, and when he arrived he found
that the arm was so lacerated that
it had to be amputated to save tne
boy’s life. He stood the operation
admirably, and is now doing fine.
