He was one of the first whin*
tlemen I got acquainted with in

been a true friend to. He always
showed me kindness, bftt. I never
tried to take advantage of his
kindness, and always treated him
as a white man, but I must say I
never had Ahette^iiend,
Mr. Adams and the writer were
members of the same branch of the

CRIPPLED AND BENT FOR TEN YEARS

(From Hie ICaimwa City Tltwit.)
For years one of the be.;£ known men in
Bate* an 1 Vernon counties Ims been Murk
M. Woodson, now poatjn jLt ut Panama,
ami brother ofjsx Staid Inspector of Mines,
C. C. Woodson, of this city. The people or
„ttie.li Hill, where he formerly resided, mid of
his present home, retuomb<r welt tlie bent
form, inis-diaoen almost from the semblance
of man, which 'rent painfully bowed its head
half to earth and labored snail-like across
the walks seaion after teuton, and when one
day last month it str.lightened to its full
height, threw away t.ii a heavy butt of cant
which for years li id been its only support
from total helplessness, and walked erect,
firmly, unhesitatingly about the tw* cities,
peopfi looked.aal w >a<lered. The story of
the remarkable case has become the m irvel
of the two counties. Exactly as Mr. Wood
son t) and it to a Tinted reporter, it is here

“ In ’m the rheumatism started in mi

then tried a strong /galvanic battery, with
the same resalt. I th.-n went to the City
Hospital at St. Lou's, where tho best physi
cians treited me—'iocluding Drs. Kale aud

weak, doubled with pain and despondent.
“About this time my attention was called
to the account of a remarkable cure by Ur.

locomotor ataxia, rheumatism and paral

-'■tjhnuiiiiitism had developed into a phase of
paralvsis; my leg from the thigh down was
cold all the tim sand could not be kept
warm. In a short time I was able to attend
(Saj|y office duties, and I could enjoy a sound
Awrreatful night's deep, something I had
not -known for ton years. Today am prac

cured of my terrible and agonizing ailment.
No magician of the Far Kast ever wrought
the miracle wth his wand that Dr. Wil
