Dr, R C Moseley of Royston, spent last Sunday with the old folks here, H B Mattox who has been in Oglethorpe for several weeks has returned-h^Die. She has overburdened herself wait ing on her husband who has been quite low with typhoid fever. E D Starr who hai been read ing law under Col. Bond, will make his application for admiss ion to the bar here next week. Mrs. E F McGowan and Mrs. Berry T Moseley, visited their aunts, Mrs. James M While and Mrs. George Duffel, this week. The protracted meeting at the Methodist church closed last Sun day night. There was only one accession, but the church was somewhat revived. There are something like sixty criminal cases on the docket ready for trial at the approaching term of our court. This looks like crime is on the increase in this county. Next week is court week, and while here we would be glad to have you call around at the Mon itor office and make yourself at home. We are still doing business at the same old place and will be glad to see you. Walker Bolton took a photo graph of E F Martin’s family last week and made a fine group. Walker does nice work and at low prices. Bob Estes and hi* two pretty sisters. Misses Ilia and Lilia went up, last Friday to see their sitter, Mrs. J B Latty and to take in the JacKsen county camn meeting. They returned home Tuesday and report a nice time.
