H H Hampton went out to the pig
pen to turn a pig out of the pen
that the bees were stinging, and
from some cause the bees left .the
pig and began to sting Mrg. Hamp
ton, getting in her hair and going
down her aeok. Bhe was so se
verely stung that site soon fainted
and was iu au unconscious condi
tion for some time.* Medical aid
was immediately summoned, and
she was soon restored to consci
ousness, but she is still very sick
and weak from the effects
of the sting, fye hops she will
soon recover and tha matter will
not preve any wuy serious.

A Day of Pleasure for the Young
and Their Visitors.

The picnic here en last Monday
was quite a success.
A large crowd was in attendance
and the long table was laden with
the geod eatablo* and twice as
many as were present could have
befn abundantly cared for.
Everything passed off pleasantly
and if there was a siugle person on
tho ground the least intoxicated we
did not see him.
After dinner was over, a gamo
of ball was enjeyed by some, while
others in buggies went to the woods
to gather flowers, some remained at
the church, and passed off the time
singing the songs of Ziou.
All m all, it was a day enjoy
ed by all who eaftie, and they went
away feeling much better that they
Had attended.
