THE REMARKABLE STORY AND
AFFIDAVIT OF DR. LEWIS
BLUNDIN.
With Paralj'ili for Tivnty>
live Tmrs—A Ui of 'World
Wide Interest.
(FYorHIAe JViritaricljMa Time*.)
Lewis D. Blutidin was born in ’4l at
Bridgewater, Pa., nnd is now a resident of
Hulmeville tame state. He went through
Che war as gh-ivate, sergeaut and hospital
steward of Company C. 28tli Pa. Volunteers.
Asa result of an attack of tvphoid fever in-
Ga., his kidneys became oAectrd and this
finally developed into spinal disease, which
lasted through ids army service. In 'B6 he
was mustered tint and entered Jeffersom'
M-dical College, Phil*., as a student from
which he graduated two years later. Tha
remainder of the story is best told in hi*
own words:
“Ontfday. after'l had graduated, I was
lying on a sofa at my homo in Mannyuuk,
when I felt a cold sensation in my lower
limbs as though the blood had suddenly left
them. When 1 tried to move them 1 was
horrified at the disco very that 1 was para
lysed from my hips to my love. The paral
ysis was complete and a pin or e pinch of
the flesh canted no pain. ‘ I could not move
a muscle. I called in Dr. \S illi.no U. Todd,
of Philadelphia. lie made an exhaustive
examination of itoy case, and announced
that my trouble was caused by inflamma
tion-of the spinal cord, snd that 1 would*
likely have another strok* of paralysis, it
consulted Dr. 1. TV. Cross and Dr. Paacoast
of Jefl'ersoa College, Philadelphia, sad Dr.
Morehouse, of Philadelphia with- tl.c corns
result.
41 One day last September I decider! to try
Pr. Williams' Pink Pills for Pale Peopip.
I had always been troubled with a sort of
vertigo after my firat stroke of paralysis to
such an extent that wlictr 1 got out "of mr
bed my bead would swim and 1 l:r,d diln
culty m saving myself from falling. .My
appetite was bad, digestive organs ruined
and no assimilation of food. la m.'uiiif-n to
my many other ailments, rheumatism held
a prominent place, lly the time l hsd
finished the first box of Pink.pills I was
comparatively free from these minor ill*.
First one oii would disappear, then auotlu-r
until the pills got to work upon the fottnda
tioh stor.es of my trouble—paralysis, llefor*-
I had taken the six boxes of pills, 1 was
sitting in my chair and one afternoon, when
T felt a carious sansathm in my left foot.
Upon investigation 1 found it had flexed, or
fa other words, bscome movable, and I
could move it 'From that time on my im
provement was steady ami ii was not'long
before 1 was walking s round on crutches
with little or no tnsonmfcrh It was direr
vears before taking the Vink Pills that 1 bad
been able to use the - cratches at any time;
and 1 feel aare that Vink Pills have doc*
me more good than ah' tha doctors and all
the medicine in the eouctry and as they aim
not costly I can easily afford the treatment”
