Avery severe storm or cy
clone passed through our section
last Friday night, destroying
quite a bit of timber, and sweep
ing the cotton and corn fields as
it passed through. It seems the
torrent of wind would rise and
fall from time to time, and it
appeared to come down just as
it was passing over the home of
Mr. G. L. Sailors, doingquitea
bit of damafie on one side of his
home, shattering down the
porch, tearing down the trees,
and string the ground a short
ways from the house. All are
thankful that no lives were lost
in our immediate section.
After spending a few days
with her niece Mrs. J. V. Jen
kins, Miss Julia Barrett has re
turned to her home in Washing
ton
