tour. The order of the events were
as follows
First we were led to the orchards

Hired on each phase of how the stock,
are ca.od for, taking up bov the
different feeds are grown amf ea. ed
for. It was also emphasized that it
takes lots of feed, but that the grow
ing of this builds up the land in two
ways, by enriching the land by the
actual growing off the different leg
umes, and by turning the manures
back on the land. He made tic state
ment that the success of the far rn
there is due to the above, farm pro
gram which has been followed for
the past sixteen years. He further
stated that they have developed the
farm to where it will produce more
than tin ee times more than when
than when they took it over, also
it has paid a liberal profit every year
except on .
Dinner was s’Uead at one o’clock
at the main building after which Dr.
Andvew M. Soule gave a most inter
esting and encouraging lecture. We
spent the afterabon studying the
plats which, embraced the legumes,
cotton, corn, peanuts and other too
numerous to mention. Before start
ing home we were shown through the
poult y plant by Professor Wooster.
A 111 then started for home feeling
fine except for the fatigue from such
