; At the Rome of the bride’p parents,
Mr. and Mr?, -T. A. Barnette at ten
o'clock last Sunday occurred the mar
riage of their daughter, Miss Annie
Lou Barnette to Mr. Howard Kidd,.
Rev, W. M. Save performing the cer
emony. The marriage was a quiet
home affair; those present were Mr.
and Mrs. K. N. Barnette, Mr. and
Mrs. J. 11. Patton, Mr. and Mrs. M.
Y. Freeman, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. B.
Lord, Mrs. Gladys Harwell, Mr. and
Mrs. Wait ITill. The room was neatly
decorated with ferns and cut flowers.
After the ceremony the bride and
groom attended preaching at Meadow
returning to the bride's home wherV
a-very delicious dinner was served.’
Mr. Kidd was reared near Comer, a
son of Mr. and Mrs. Will pidd; Miss
Barnette was reared at lia but re
cently moved rear Comer. Miss Bar
nette has a host of friends at Ila who
wish to extend to them their Iwarty
congratulations. Mr. Kidd was- a
veteran of the world war, serving
two years in France; after the w:.r
ho enli.rted in the Navy serving four
years in Norfolk. Yh.

DICKERSON—ADAMS
On the afternoon of Thanksgiving
occurred the wedding of two youn?
people, Mr. Lovie Adams of Eibcrtoa
and iVli<s Hoke Smith Dickerson of
Paoli, at the home of the bride’s fa
ther, Mr. Torn H. Dickerson.
The home was beautifully decorat
ed for the occasion with at arch of
evergreens and white chrysanthe
mums. At two o’clock the couple
entered the* room and stood beneath
the bower while R< v. W. P. Brooks
of Comer spoke the words that unit
ed the happy young lives.
Immediately after congratulations
the bridal party retired to the dining
room where an elaborate dinner was
served.
