Master Dewey Hill ofj Athens spent Friday night in this community Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Seagvaves visit ed relatives near New Harmony Thursday of last week. Little Miss Ovenia Martin visited relatives in Athens Friday and Sat urday. Several from around here attend ed the Ice Cream Supper at Progress school house Saturday night. Some from here attended preach ing services at Gordon’s Chapel and enjoyed good services and good be havior each time. Several from this section went to see the dusting of cotton from air plane near Athens Tuesday of last week. Mr. J. W. Martin motored to Ath ens Saturday - Mr. W. N. Allen and Mr. Ollie Seagraves made a business trip to Athens Saturday. Several from here attended servi ces at Rogers Sunday night, to hear the Rev. Watterhouse preach. If nothing prevents, the Rev. Wat ter House will fill the pulpit at Pleas ant Grove the third Saturday and Sunday in September. The farmers of this section have begun to pull their fodder and hope to make a good crop as some of the crops in this section are very short, especially the forage.
