Sitting for Coun ty purposes, at this time proceeded to levy the county tax of Madison county for the year 1924, as is here in Stated below. Madison County TANARUS; x Levy Year 1924. The County Tax; digest for the year 1924, shows the aggregate of property given in for taxation to be $3,048,498.00 an increase of a very small increase over last year. And while the Coun ty has paid all indebtedness to the present time, it is evident that the Couny cannot be run on a less a mount another year than it has been run the present year. Therefore it is ordered that the present years tax levy for County purposes be fixed at (12 twelve mills on one dollar or (12) twelve dollars on the one thousand dollars on all property subject to taxation. The amount -ppearing on the tax di gest being $3.048,495. 00, and the amount of the levy at 12 mills is j ($36,581.87) Thirty Six Thousand Five Hundred Eighty One and 87-100 dollars for county purposes. All mon ey less the commissions of the Tax Collector and Tax Receiver of this fund to be paid into the Bank of Danielsville, the County Depository. | Also a levy of (5) five mills on the one dollars worth of property or (5) five dollars on the one thousand dollars worth of oroperty. the total amount being ($15,242.49) Fifteen THE DANIELSVILLE MONITOR DArDELSVILLE. The tax collector is ordered also to collect all legal local school dis trict tax as the same has been pre sented to him for collection by the proper legal school authorities and this to he paid to the proper legal school authorities who are authorized by law to receive the amount due each local school district. No amount is placed to that part of levy No. 2, under head of bonds and borrowed money, because suffi cient funds outside of county' tax will come in to phy all the claims against the County under this head. Levy follows: Levy No. 1: Superior Court ex penses under its different heads 14 per cent of total levy $5,126.47 Levy No. 2: Bonds and Borrow ed money otherwise provided for Levy No. 3: Salary? under diff erent forms 10 per cent of total levy $3,653.18 Levy No. 4: Sheriff’s Expense and Jail Fees 4 per cent of total levy $1,463/. 27 Levy No. 5: Paupers and Farm Expenses 4 per cent of total levy $1,463.27 Levy No. 6: Bridges across Streams 6 per cent of total levy $2,194.91 Levy No. 7: Registrations and Elections 3 per cent of total levy $1,097 45 Levy No. 8: Public Building Stationery, Janitors etc. 4 per cent of total levy $1,463.27 Levy No. 9: Public Roads and Convict Outfit 55 per cent of total levy $20,120.09 Total per cent 100. Total levy $36,581.96 It is hereby ordered that the fore going Tax Levy together with this order be entered on the Commission er’s minutes and that it be posted and published as required by law. And that the tax collector be fur nished with a copy of this levy and that he proceed at once to collect on all property legally placed on the tax digest and also on all property not on the digest at the same rate per cent, or as the law directs.
