GA Miss Eva Escoe has been visiting her sister, Mrs.. Gi. N. Patten the 'first of this week. 1 Miss Lily Holcomb of Bishop, Ga. is visiting her sister, Mrs. Vascoe Landers at present We learn that the little three year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Patterson was taken seriously ill Sunday and was carried to St. Ma ry’s Hospital but was too weak for an operation and died Monday af ternoon at three o’clock. The body was brought' home for interment at Bethel cemetery Tuesday afternoon. We learn that kidney trouble and j locked boweds caused her death. We extend our deepest sympathy to the 1 Bereaved sister and four brothers who mourn over her un | timely death. We commend them to the God of love who is our refuge I and strength, a very present help in trouble. Mr. and Mrs. Bell Simmons from near Colbert are visit’ng their daughter, Mrs. Jim Patterson. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Ander Patterson from Anderson, S. C. is visiting rel atives in this community at present. Mrs. Gilbert Patten and Mrs. Jesse Patten and daughters visited Mrs. Leek Mann of Danielsville Tuesday last. Mrs Frank Epps has returned from Greenville, S. C. after visiting her daughter, Mrs. Ethel Adams. Mrs. Gordie Adams from Green lville, S C. is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Epos, having come over to have Dr. Gholston treat her baby who is critically ill at this writing. Rev. Carter and wife from Frank lin Springs were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lum Williams during Quarterly Conference. Miss Jessie Mai Compton of Ath ens was guest of her parents the past week-end. We are very sorry indeed to chron icle the death of Mr. Arthur Adams which occurred the past week in a Government Sanatorium. His re mains were intered in the cemetery at Zcar, Monday morning. Tcev. Al len of Danielsville officiating, Mr. Adams was a member of the M. E. Church and said he was ready for his summons Home. We extend our sympathy to his heart-broken young wife in this sad hour, and pray that she will hasten to prepare to meet him ‘‘Over Yonder.” Practical Nurse Tells Mrs. N. E.
