Patten and children of Cedar drove vicinity v.a guest of Mr. Jesse Patten and family Sunday. Miss Edna Irvin is spending this Week with relatives in Comm*' ce. Mr. Quincy Loftis from near Col bert was guest of Mr. J. B. Patten’s family the past week-end. We arc* sorry to say that Sunday, he looked like one who treads alone some ban quet hall deserted. We suppose the disappointment he received Saturday night was rathe severe. Miss Fannie Lou Patten is spend ing part of this week with Miss Evie Lou Mann of Danielsville. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Brown were vis iting Mr. and Mrs. John Garrett. Tuesday last. / Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Patten were guests of MY. Lonzie Escoe the past week-en and. We reirret to soy that Mrs. j. M. Escoe is on the sick list at present. M isses Velna and Agnes Patten of Cedar Grove were guest of Miss es Annie Belle and Fannie Lou Pat ten the past week-end. Mrs. Susie Eavens spent Monday with Danieisville relatives. Little Miss Pauline Holcomb of Mt. AYv community was visiting her nur.t. Mr-.. Myrt Landers Tuesday night.. We regret to state that Mrs. Jim Patterson is seriously ill at present. Mr. Will Irvin and family were visiting Mr. Homer Irv'in oi i om merce last Saturday. Mrs. Fred Landers was in Athens lust week to see an eve specialist in regard to a growth on her eye, which we learn she* will have taken oL this week. Miss Jane Burroughs continues on the sick list, we regret to note. Miss Dosia Dudley of Abbeville S. C. has been the admired guest of Misses Ruby and Jewel Escoe the past week end. Mr. Milton llollin has been in Gritfin Ga. the past week attending the Congregationaf Holiness Associ ation. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Power were visiting Mr. Henry Moore and family of Danielsville the past week-end. He leaves a wife and live small children. Mr. Pw ; Sit Tabor left last w eek for Orlando, Fla. to accept a posi tion as an inspector of citrus fruits for the coming season. Mr. 0. !,. 'Parker and family of near here are moving soon to R. C. where he will teach the coming year. Messers J. C. Tabor and Ralph Parker Were in Athens on business Si few days ago. The friends of Mrs. Margaret Hutch, r.sonwill be glad to hear that she is improving after being indis posed for a few days. Mrs. A. L. Payne is spending some time with relatives in Athens After a pleasant visit of 10 days here with relatives Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Williford and children have re turned to their home in Greenwood, Miss. They were married here some 20 year , ago ar. 1 have onlv been back a few times since. They found the country greatly changed.
