“Stewardship and Missions.” Rev.
Ixigan is teaeher of the class, and
any who are interested are invited
to meet with the class next Sunday
afternoon at 2:00 oclock at the
church.
Practically all the classes of Bap
tist Sunday School will assemble in
the class rooms of the Annex next
Sunday morning. A great deal cr
work in yet to le done, yet the rooms
have been assigned to the different
departments.

tation of domestic fowls into the
State of Georgia.
Whereas, it has been determined
that a dangerously infectious and
contagious disease, known as Euro
pean Fowl Plague, exists among
hens, roosters, chickens, turkey.s etc.
in everal eastern and middle west
ern states, and
Wheseas, the extent of the spread
of this disease is not as yet definitely
kaown and because there is grave
danger that such disease may be
brought into the State of Georgia,
Therefore, I, Peter F. Bahnsen,
State Veterinarian of Georgia, to
prevent the introduction of such
disease into the State of Georgia, do
hereby promulgate the following or
der:
The movement of any live hens,
roosters, capons, chickens, turkeys
docks, geene, pigcjrus etc., into the
State of Georgia from anv point out
ride of the State in hereby prohibit
ed.
The mov & rent into the State of
any coop or crate which has been
used for shipping or transporting
Inns, roosters, capons, chickens,
turkeys, geese, pigeons etc., from
any point outside of the State is
hereby prohibited.

CARLTON WOMAN’S CLUB
A lovely event of Tuesday after
noon was the January meeting of
the Carlton Woman’s Club at the
home of Mrs. Ed Stevens, with Mrs.
Stevens, Mrs. F. I>. Smith and Mrs.
J . W. Grimes, joint hostesses.
Spring flowers in charming arrango
ment, with soft lights made the home
delightfully attractive. With Mrs.
A. W. Mathews presiding, the meet
ing opened with the Lord’s prayer
led by Mrs. J. W<. Gholston. Re
nponso t roll call was given with
musical numbers.
After an interesting business ses
sion the meeting was fumed over t#
the program committee. The Study
of Music being featured, under the
leadership of Miss Florence William
son, who presided at the piano, was
beautifuully rendered as follows:
