who has been quite sick for two days
will be glad to know that he is im
proving.

sachusetts is visiting his parents,
Mr. and MrsL John Scarborough for
a few days.
Mr. J. W. Cooper left for the
Hospital in Atlanta. Wednesday
morning, where he will take a treat
ment; We hope he may soon return
much improved.
COMER WOMAN’S CLUB

joint hostesses, the Comer Woman’s
Club met yesterday afternoon at the
home of Mrs. C. S. Rowe, where
the attractive rooms, with glowing
fires and spring flowers in charming
arrangement, made a striking and de
lightful contrast to the sudden cold
outside.
A study of Georgia featured the
program, which was most interesting
and instructive, Mrs. C. H. Barnes
having charge.
The meeting was opened with the
collect read by Mr|. S. J. Carmich
ael . Roll call was made by ques
tions on Georgia, these being an
swered by members of the Club.
With Mrs. C. H. Baines presiding
the program was rendered as follows:

ure of the program.
The business session was fall of
matters of interest to the Club. Of
cordial interest were the communi
cations from friends and former
members, now living elsewhere
A delicious salad course was serv
ed by the hostesses. Valentines we
the dainty favors and valentine ideas
prevailed in the dainty arrangements.
Mrs. C. H. Barnes, in hor grace
ful way, welcomed the teachers, who
are honorary members of the Club.
