crop has been very much Improved by
late rains. Yesterday there were heavy
ralna over this whole section.
Tho watermelon season is nearly over
for shipping. The shipment of melons
from here has been smaller than last
year and the prices realised generally
satisfactory. Sumo few melon growers
will not pay out, but most fit them
made some money. Thorn will be a few
csni of melons shipped this week.
Thu LeConto pear crop Is short this
year nnd most of Ihe crop was shipped
to Northern markets Inst week.
