A “song party" wta the unique en
tertainment recently given by a bright
young woman. Each guest was dressed
to represent gome popular or well
known song, and much pleasure and
excitement were created by guesses
a* to the songs represented by the dif
ferent costumes.
Two Little Girls In Blue" was illus
trated by two small young women-
dressed exactly alik* One guest, In
the costume of Goethe's heroine, sug
gested “Marguerite." Two young men
dressed In In a Confederate and Fed
eral uniform represented tho popular
“Blue and the Gray." “Then You'll
Remember Me” was Illustrated by &
young tfronbin prettily gowned In some
material, elaborately trimmed
with forget-me-nots. Much praise wa*

Many puzzled eyes were directed to
wards, a smart looking chap who

trimmings of gold braid, a stylish-
looking little military cap, and pro
fusoly decorated with soldier button

Itary souvenirs, was Instantly recog
nized as a “Soldier'* Sweetheart/"
young lady wearing a rcd-whlte-and-
lilue striped costume, decorated with

Banner." The little dark-eyed “Jus
nlta" was there, too, In a Mexican
peasant costume.
No guest was allowed to sit down

On lust Thursday evening the mem
bers of the Cherokee Club entertained
me of their friends at a delightful

Southern and Florida railroad and la
held In high esteem by all who know
him. After their bridal tour, which
will Include -Buffalo and other points

An Entertainment at McTtne That

McRAE, Ga., July 27.—At the college
auditorium lost evening the “old maids” '
of the town held a convention, open
to the public, for the purpeno of airing
their grievances and stating their de
sires.
The convention was fairly well at
tended considering the extreme heat
and the exodus of our people to ce^arts,

four denominations with r.cat houses of
worship.
Judge D. M. Roberta came down this
week and adjourned courts till October
and granted ths charter to the McRae
Oil Mill
