MEETINGS
Permission Given by Judge Felton Yea-
terday—Will Dispose of Many
Holdings of Exchango Bank.
The recelvera of the Exchange
Bank. Messrs. R. X. Taylor, B. P.
O'Neal and C. J. King, were yester
day given carta blanche in the matter
of disposing of real estate held by
them as an asset of the defunct Insti
tution.
Formal application was made to
Judgo Felton showing that the recelv
era have in their possession numerous
parcels of land, more or less valuable,
which could not bo satisfactorily dis
posed of nt public auction, and which
may be transferred by private sale. The
receivers were authorised to engage tho
services of real estato agents In dis
posing of the lands.
The receivers were also granted per
mission to lease the bunk's share of
certain *coal fields In Rhea county.
Tenn., to a firm which desires to de
velop the property under an agree
ment to buy oil coal mined. The Ex
change ‘Bank holds an undivided two-
sevenths Interest In the property nnd
when it In thoroughly developed tho
Income will be quite largo.

was granted to the receivers of tho
Capital Bank of Macpn. which holds a
like two-sevenths interests in the coal

the recent meeting of tfi* state board,
when every member of the class,
twenty-three In number, passed the
examination that makes them licensed
phurmaqists In the state of Georgia.
Mr. C. E. Latimer, of Savannah,
made tho highest mark of any student
appearing before the, board, securing
an average of 96 ner cont, theroby
winning the gold medal awarded by
the stato board for the highest aver
age inado before them during tfie
current year. This mark, in fact, Is
the highest average made before tho
Georgia State Board of Pharmariy.

LARGE DELEGATION
TO STOP IN
Party of Over Two Hundred From
Indiana to Pass Through En Route
to Andereonvill*.
On Wednesday, November 25. the
day before Thanksgiving, there will
arrive In Macon a party of two hun
dred persons, who will comprise the
Indiana delegation to the unveiling of
the Indiana atate monument at An-
deraonvllle, near Amerlcus. The del
egation will remain In Macon for sev
eral hears, probably the night, and
will also make a brief atop -aere on
the return trip. In the party will be
the governor of Indiana and other
prominent atate officials.
