object of no trifling import to the community to

of disease may be prevented, its violence mitiga
tod, and recovery rendered speedy and effectual.

The waters of Saratoga and l! alls ton have long
-we, rendered them places of extensive resort,
1 oth by invalids and persons of fashion. And the
i?nal benefits derived from their use by persons
'iliouringunder Chronic Diseases (especially of
the digestive organs) have obtained for them well
merited celebrity—and from a pretty accurate
analysis, by gentlemen of competent science,
comparing the result with the analysis of the
A atrrs of Saratoga and Ballston, as published by
■Jr. Mead, they find the waters of the Montpelie-,
Spring, to possess, with a trifling exception the
■■amechemical qualities. Asa chalybeate contain
ing more Iron than theformer and less than the lat
fr, with a large proportion of the muriates of so
daandlime; the most striking difference being
're absence of uneombined fixed air, with which
* .ie Saratoga water abounds. Of the beneficial
: pplication of this water in disease, the proprietor
can.bear ample testimony.
In chronic affections rfthe Liver, Spleen, and
t cir concomitant functional derangement of the

•iut Hydra of modem times, it is an invaluable

temperate use of well selected regimen. In

it relaxation and debility consequent upon a

RUNAWAY on the 21th of May last, from
Mr: David F. Wilson’s brick yard, near Ma
con, a negro boy named
Cook,
about 16 years of age. The said Cook is about
five feet high, has a thin visage, and is an active
and intelligent lad for his age. lie was purchas
ed from Mr. Archer, residing in Striven county,
where it is probable he may endeavor to return.
Any person apprehending said negro boy, deli
vering him toimiin Macon, or confining him in
jail so as I can get him again, shall receive the a
