They are lazy, trifling, and worse than
that, they are vicious. They commit the
most astrocious and outrageous crimes up
on the defenseless and helpless. A day
or two ago, a hard faced,. brutal lookin^
tramp visited a residence on the limits of
the city, walked boldly to the piaza,
where several ladies were sitting, and'de
manded bread. He was under the im
pression that they were alone, and ho
would no doubt have insulted them, if
there hadn’t fortunately happened to be a
gentleman in the house, who came out
and promptly ordered the tramp away.
We are strong advocates of a vigorous
policy towards the whole tramp tribe,
aud hope to see it adopted.
