Perhaps you have never given much com
•ideratiou to their purchase, but think for a minute of the long days
the little ones must spend in using them, and how muh pleasure and
satisfaction it means if everything is just like they want it.
Something that does not suit is a keen dis=
oppointment, and now is the time that your children are formiug
habits and ideas that will have a great influence on their futures.
Failure to equip them with the proper supplies is an actual
handicap.
We have taken all of these features into consideration in buying
•nr school supplies, and the children will receive the same prices, if
they come alone, as you do.

A Christian Letter from Ohoopee
Mr. Editor:—Will you apure
mi- a little apace in your columns
for a few words? We felt that it ia
our dutv to write to your paper.
I have been trying for the last 15
veara to serve my creator up until
.July, 4th, 1010, but it is an easy
thing tor people to say that. To
mean it, that’s the thing; that is
what I want to get on the minds
of this people of the community.
When 1 was trying to serve my
Creator I did not do iny duty. God
sent warning on me but I did not
heed to that. He sent a shower of
rain on me 4 years ago last Aug
ust. I still did not heed to God,
but thank God, He spared me and
gave me a chance until Janurary
1910, my burden got so heavy till
I could not rest day nor night. I
felt jii9t like the whole world had
taken out after me. My life was
uo satisfaction to me; it did not
seem like I had a friend in the
world, but I thought of what my
mother used to teach me, that
there was a friend that was better
than all the human beings Ijere
on earth, and I took my bible and
when i opened it I read the 18th
chapter of Proverbs, and I got
right down on my knees and I
promised God that 1 would do and
obey Him the rest of my life here
on earth, and thanks to his Holy
name he gave me a light where I
could see. He said to me through
the spirit “Go and tell the people
what I have done for you and
preach my word to them,” and I
promised God that I would do it
if it seperated my head from my
body, and so, as our saviour says
in His parable on His last trip to
Jerusalem, in the l9ch chapter cf
of Luke, 13th verse, “A certain
nobleman went into a far country
to receive for himself a kingdom
and to return, and he called his
ten servants and delivered them
ten pounds and said unto them,
“Occupy till I come.” Now' Christ
did not mean for us to hide our
bibles. He meaut for us to take
this pound and cultivate and in
crease it. He did not mean for us
to sit down on the stool of do
nothing; He meant for us to work
and serve Him.
He did not mean for us to buy
it from each other, He gives it to
us all without money and without
price, and it ia my desire to work
for ny Lord and Savious Jesus 4
Christ, but it seems like to me the
that the people don’t care for ser
vices, you can go to talking with a
man about his salvation and he
won’t talk with you. But never
the less I will talk about my Sav
iour and always will as long as I
stay in this sinful world. God
bless every body is my prayer.
Mr. Editor, 1 preach at Blue
Ridge the 2nd Sunday evening
and the 4th and at old Mt. Zion
church the Ist Sunday at 11 o’-
clock. Now if you will announce
this for me many thanks to you.

Several appeals have been pub
lished to indue ■ the owners of pis
tols to comply with the new Geor
gia law by regestering with Ordi
nary, but up to date comparative
few have complied. Those who
own weapons are not obliged to
register, as the ownership is not a
violation of the law. Neither is it
a violation to use a pistol on your
own premises, but whenever a man
leaves his own premisea with a pis
tol in his po9ession, carried open
orjeoncealed.he becomes a violator
of the law according to the inter
pretation that has been placed up
on it by some of the Superior
Court judges of the state. In order
to register the owner must also
give bond, which is merely a mat
ter of form, and it is to the dis
cretion of the Ordinary whether
he shall accept such a bond. A
few of our white citizens have reg
istered in order to be on side safe
of the law, hut not a single color
ed persou has registered up to
date.—Laurens County Herald.
