We did not examine the books
of the county school commissioner,
owing to the fact that we did not
have time at this term to do so,
while he brought them in for us
to examine.
We could not examine the books
of the tax collector as they were
not turned over to us, he riot being
through collecting the tax for 1898
and making settlement with or¬
dinary.

We recommend that the clerk of
the county court keep a correct
record of all business transactions
on the minutes of this court, also
that all county officers keep an
itemized account of all money re¬
ceived ami paid out bv them so
the grand jury can see amounts
received and to whom paid out,
and all county ollicers keep an
itemized statement for all extra
services they expect pay for.
We find the public roads in the
2nd. district in good condition ex¬
cept a portion of the Sumner and
Dooly road in southwest corner of
this district that lias been over¬
looked by commissioners, also the
Peckville and Isabella road not
good.
We find the roads in ,3rd and 4th
district in good condition.
We find in The 5th district roads
from Snmtier to Poulan, Poulan
and Sylvester, Poulan and Isabella
and Sumner and TyTy not what
they should be.
In the 6th district we find the
TyTy and Young and the road
commencing at the two mile post
and running by D. J. Willis's to
the 5th district line and part of
the TyTy and Whiddon bridge
and the upper eud of the Sumner
and Sycamore roads are not good.

We will say a few words about our Men’s
Youth’s and Children’s Clothing. Our line
complete in every respect. Our Children’s
are in Id pieces, consisting of Sailor-collar Coat,
Fancy Vest and Pants. A “beaut” for a Boy.
We ask everybody to come, as we have so many-
new things than we can mention. We doubtless
have just what you want.
In the 7th district we find the
Isabella and Albany and the Isa-
bella and Lumber roads not good
In the 8tli district we find tire
roads good except part of the Syl-
vester and Harrell road has not
been worked and jiart of the Syl-
vester and Moultrie road too nar¬
row and in bad shape.
The 14th, 15th and 16th district
roads are good except some washes
in the Sumner and Dooly road in
the 10th district.
We recommend that the various
commissioners have these roads
put and kept in good condition or
show cause why not done.
We recommend that a bridge be
built across Little river on the Isa-
bella and Ashburn road.
We recommend that a bridge be
built across Abram’s creek ou the
Sumner and Dooly road.
We recommend that commis¬
sioners be appointed for the 9th
district.
We also recommend that the Or¬
dinary of this county meet with
the authorities of Irwin county in
building a bridge across Little
river to the county line on t.heTy-
Ty and Whiddon’s mill road.
We recommend that the Ordi¬
nary order the road that stops at
the 4th district line be
about one half mile where it will
connect with the TyTy aiyl Tifton
road at the foot of the Gloover
bridge.
We recommend that Mrs. Mary
Daniels and her three little grand-
childred be added to the list of
paupers on the poor farm.
We recommend that Mrs. W. H.
Gurley be paid $2.00 per month.
j We recommend that Rev. J. H.
Taylor be appointed chaplain for
all the convict camps of Worth
county.
We recommend that tho Ordi¬
nary pay the $12.00 account of T.
F. Dees and allow him four dol¬
lars per month from now on for
services on the poor farm to look
after paupers going for physicians
provisions, etc. Said amount be
paidfmonthly.
We also recommend that the
mounted bailiffs be paid two dol-
lars per day and all lobby bailiffs
be paid one and one half dollars
per day.
We also recommend that J. W.
Price be paid $100.00 for extra
services in looking after bridges
roads and poor farm.
We recommend that C. G. Tip-
ton be appointed N. P. ex-officio
J. P. of 867 G. M. district.
We recommend that Jackson
Davis be appointed N. P. ex-of-
ficio J. P. of the 1428 G. M. dis¬
trict.
We recommend that R. K. Young
be appointed N. P. ex- officio J. P.
of the 1576 G. M. district.
We recommend that the Ordi¬
nary purchase a lot of sufficient
size and build two water closets
one on each side of the lot, one
for the white and one for the col¬
ored people and that they be kept
in a good sanitary condition and
be of sufficient size to accommo¬
date the public.
Owing to so many complaints of
excessive issuing supoenas to wit¬
nesses for the same case, it is
hereby recommended that the
proper authority see that the is¬
suing and executing officers are
paid for only one subpoena to
each witness in each case.
We recommend that the book
committee, T. L. Retchings, G. 8.
Nelson and W. H. Braswell, ex¬
amine the old tax fifas dating up
to Jan. 1898, and separate such as
they consider no good and save
the time and expense of the reg¬
istrars looking through them in
the future.
We rcommend that these pre¬
sentments be published in the
Worth County Local and Ashburn
Advance and that a fee of 12.00
be divided equally between them.
