’ PUBLIC BENAFACTORS.
Some Observations bya Rerder of the
Journal.
The benatactors of humanity. Whoare
they? Those who have thought great
thoughts on the subject, those who trans
late ideas of home of society into a great
hope and thrill the people that surround
them, those who stretch forth loving
hands to relieve the suffering, yes, those
who believe profoundly that God is our
Father and that we are all brothers and
sisters, using these beliefs for the controll
ing principals of their daily lives, those
who see in life an ever-enduring conflict
for others, with ? an inspiration and a
hope for ahigher and holier life, those
who serve God by serving men, love God
through loving his people, bringing
the beauty of holiness into their every
day life, and lift humanity up to its right
ful plane of worship_ to the Father and
brotherhood each to the other. ‘‘Star of
the Eeast, Oh, Bethlehem’s Star, guide

grief are lulled by the the light.—B.
