I BURGLAR CAPTURED
, BREAKING INTO STORE
I
I Mallard Williamson, a white man
of the Normantown section, was cap
-1 tured Sunday night, about 1 o’clock
while attempting to force an entrance
in the store of C. S. Meadows and
Son at that place. Parties living
near the store heard the sounds of
sawing, and on investigation Will
iamson was discovered trying to
break into the store. He was placed
under arrest and taken to jail in
Lyons. In his pocket was found a
bottle of whiskey, and close at hand
to his work he had placed a loaded
shotgun.
Dwelling Burned
About an hour after the arrest of
Williamson, a dwelling on the farm
of Mr. C. S. Mea'lows, Sr., was dis
covered on fire. The fire ts oelieved
to have been of incindiary origin as it
was vacant at the time. The loss is
about SIOOO with no insurance.

and that the bank’s customers have
