THE GIRL SCOUTS MEET
The Girl Scouts held their last
meeting of 1920 at the Scout Club
house on P'riday evening of last week.
There were present on this occasion
fourteen girls and the officers.
No definite program had been ar
ranged for this meeting, so it was of
an informal nature. First a contest
was held between the two patrols—
Tf/e (Purple Pansy and the Golden
Rod. This contest consisted of re
view questions on the test that must
be passed by a girl to become a Ten
derfoot. This was interesting and
instructive to all present. The Pur
ple Pansy patrol made the highest
score t
Immediately afterward a short bus
i iness meeting was entered into, and
this resulted in the appointment of
. three committees.

One of these committees will see
(that a few of earth's misfortunates
(have brought to them this Christmas

The second committee will make
plans for improving and beautifying
the interior of the Scout House, using
some of the funds now in the treas
ury for this purpose. The Scout
Club House is not only used by the
Boy Scouts, but the girls share equal
ly in its benefits.
The third committee will assist in j
j the sale of Red Cross Stamps to help j
! meet Vidalia’s quota of S3OO in the
drive to stamp tuberculosis out of the
land.
As there was no further business !
