4 o’clock, at the home of the bride’s
parents in Cedartown, the nuptials
of Miss Marie Hicks and Mr. T. W.
Timmerman will be solemnized, Rev.
Frank Quillian, of Cedartown, offi
ciating.
The wedding will be a quiet home
event and will be attended by close
friends and relatives of the contract
ing parties. There will be no attend
ants. Immediately after ,the edre
monvi Mr. and Mrs. Timmerman
will leave on a motor trip to Florida.
On their return to Vidalia they will
have apartments with Mrs. C. W.
Brazell.
The bride'is well known here, hav
ing taught in the Vidali Public School
for a number of years, and a wide
circle of friends will welcome her to
her new home. Mr. Timmerman is
one of the popu’ar and successful
young business men of Vidalia, being
manager of the South Georgia Pro
duce Company.

ENTRE-NOUS CLUB
ORGANIZED LAST WEErv.

The Entre-Nous Club is the newest
of city clubs, having been organized
last Thursday afternoon at the home
of Miss Jttel Darby. A delightful so
cial hour was enjoyed, during which
refreshments were served.
The club expects to meet weekly,
the meeting this week having been
held 'Wednesday afternoon,. Mes
dames Brundage and Arundel being
joint hostesses, and quite an enjoy
able afternoon was spent.
JUNIOR MISSIONARY
SOCIETY ENTERTAINED.
,Mesdames Burkhalteir and Aber
nathy entertained the Junior Mis
sionary Society of the Methodist
church Friday afternoon from 4 to
6. About 60 children of all ages were
present and as the Valentine party
was in the nature of a new-member
drive, it resulted in a large increase
in membership of the society.
The house was tastefully decorat
ed in hearts, and games of all kinds
were played. The children fished
for valentines and had lots of fun
piercing a large neart with arrows.
During the afternoon delicious ice
j cream and heart cakes were served.
