POTATO SHIPMENTS ARE
* MADE FROM VIDALIA
Two carloads of Irish potatoes have
" been shipped from this point this
week, the local needs having already
been supplied. The potatoes came
in about a week later than usual this
season, hut the yield is good, the
growers getting about fifty barerls
per acre. There will be about fifty
acres harvested this season and ship
" ments will made from this point.
The potatoes are being shipped in
wood this season, it being claimed
that they carry much better in har-
rels than in sacks.

Boston Holds
t Another Tea Party
s
y
e At the last regular meeting of the
s City Council, Boston withdrew from
e the Municipal League of Georgia, that
s organization of a small handful of
y men that are trying to saddle on the
' people of our state the greatest
• curse ever thrust on them. In such
11 legislation the tax payers have to foot
1 the bill. It cost the city $25 per year
- to belong to this municipal league and
we believe the city fathers acted
wisely when they refused to send
in their membership fee for the
- year 1921.
If the city council of Boston has
• any funds to throw away we would
s (much prefer that they give such
funds to their present mayor to de
e fray cigar bills, ice cream sodar, ba
nana splits and such. The cigars he
e would moke himself and the ice
t cream soda?, banana splits, nuts sun
? daes, etc., he could use to try and
? keep the lady voters in a good humor
until the next election.—Bostonian.

Cheerful Philosophy
There is some cheer in this statement: “If you can’t
get what you want, you can at least want what you get.’’
That’s all right, but why not get what you want?
Suppose it does take some effort. Suppose you do
have to struggle. Isn’t that better than simply wanting
what yu g'et? Certainly it is. We all want money.
Why not try to accumulate some? Why not open a
savings account at our hank and try, and try hard, to
get what you want? We stand ready to help you at
every step of the journey. Slow but sure has won many
n race.
