Shall Vidalia have a 4th of July celebration?
.That is the subject for discussion tonight, so put your
thinker on, take the pebbles out of your mouth and be pre
pared to discuss this matter and give your ideas.
Bring some of the business men of the town out with
you, and let’s plan together and work together. We can
make the 4th a big day if we want to.
Next Week
WE ENTERTAIN THE 12TH DISTRICT DOCTORS.
The Kiwanis Club has asked for the privilege of enter
taining.the physicians of the 12th District, who are here next
week attending their convention, and their program commit
tee has accepted the invitation. Take note. Kiwanians —
Place—New Vidalia Hotel.
Time—Wednesday evening, June 15th, 7 p. m.
Be on hand and help us show the, doctors a good time;
they don’t often take even a brief vacation, and we want to
do our part to make their day in Vidalia a pleasant one.
Omberg has promised to make up some more home-brew ;
usual Kiwanis opening, and then after the eats we 11 turn
things over to the doctors, and we expect a big time. We
want to give the doctors a real Kiwanis welcome, make them
feel the warmth of our hospitality and enjoy the cordiality
of fine fellowship.
Deadline for excuses —Tuesday noon.

Ed Sets The Club A Fine
Example
Ed Walker has set the members of the club a fine exam
ple, Observing that the secretary never drew anything at
the club except a laugh (when he was trying to dispose ol
the pennants) and a few committee assignments. Ed presented
the secretary with a duplicate of the attendance prize he do
nated the other night—a Shaffer pencil.
•
We appreciate Ed’s kindness; we are a'ready very much
attached to this pencil and hope it will stay attached to us.
We trust club members will follow Ed’s example and that
in the future attendance prizes will be prepared in duplicate
and one turned over to the secretary.
