A New Vidalia Product
We had the District Doctors with us last week and Ki
wanians returned good for evil and heaped the proverbial
coals of fire on their heads.
Doctors are always prescribing mean-tasting medicine
for us, medicine that makes you sick to take it, and leaves
you feeling so bad it takes all the joy out of life.
Kivvanians knew that after that long session listening
to those dry scientific papers, the Doctors would need a little
tonic. So we called in Doctor Omberg and told him of their
symptoms and what we thought they needed. Doctor Om
berg said he thought a few doses of his home-brew' would
be just the thing for them.
And it was. He compounded the tonic according to his
successful formula, employing largely the well-known medic
-3 nail property of the dewberry, and said that it should be
takn either before or after meals. And the Doctors wanted
to he safe, so they took it both before r.r.d after the meal,
and made Omberg walk about ten miles a-ottnd those tables
replenishing the medicinal glasses. We take it all back
about what we said about Omberg not having anything to do
except pass the cigar’s.
The Vidalia Kiwanis Clv.b hopes the Doctors enjoyed be
ing with us as much as we enjoyed having them.

This Week
Regular meeting this week Thursday evening at 8:30.
Mr. E. C. Bagwell, Superintendent of Savannah division of
the Seaboard Railway, has accepted an invitation to be with
us. Vidalia is interested in the removal of the freight depot
and we feel the railroad authorities realize that the depot
should be moved, and will in time move it
■ •■'i ;7
We are going to discuss this matter in a spirit of friend
ship, and we hope to win Mr. Bagwell over as our ally.
His friendship and I '^gj-. will he great aid to Vidalia in
realizing this ambitionr '
