Mrs. J. E. Forbes, who has been
visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
T. G. Macon, left Sunday for her
home in Ocilla. Mr. and Mrs. Ma
con accompanied her and will spend
two weeks in Ocilla.
Miss Agnes Thomas, of Plains came
last week for a visit to Mrs. J. E.
French. Miss Thomas has an un

CLASS ENTERTAINED BY
MR. AND MRS. RAGAN.
The Men’s Class of the Methodist
Sunday school was delightfully en
tertained by Mr. and Mrs. J. T.
Ragan on Tuesday evening. An el
egant buffet supper was served,
following which the class enjoyed
hearing Miss Fannid Blitch give two
negro dialect stories. The July so
cial meeting of the class will be a
picnic, and a committee was named
to select the time and place.
ENTERTAINS
ROUND DOZEN CLUB.
Mrs. L. C. Outler was the attrac
tive hostess to the Round Dozen Club
Friday afternoon. Yellow daisies
were used for decorations. During
the game punch was served and later
block cream with a yellow “12’’ and
golden cake were enjoyed by every
one. Besides the regular members,
the guests included Mrs. Julian Pe
terson of Ailey, Miss Lola Strickland
of Tallahassee. Miss Margaret Pat
ton of LaFayette, Miss Nettie Smith
of Perry, Miss Eva Floyd of Bain
hridge, Mrs. H. P. Willbanks and
Miss Juel Darby.

ENTERTAINS.
Mrs. T. B. Youmans entertained
at Rook Thursday afternoon in honor
of her mother, Mr?. Holt, of Ameri
cus. Thursday evening a number of
yoting married couples and quite a
number of the young people were
invited tfo meet Mrs. Holt and Mr.
John Holt. The house and lawn
were attractively decorated in gar
den flowers, and in the evening Ja
panese lanterns were used in profu
sion. Punch was served, and after
several games of Rook, a ue.icious
salad course was enjoyed.

sang several beautiful songs and Miss
