A Great Meeting
The meeting of the Kiwanis Club last Thursday was one
of the best we have, had in a long time. The speaker of
the evening was Mr. W. W. Webb, field representative of
the State Bureau of Markets, who was the father of co-oper
• ative selling of farm products in this section of the state,
and who in arranging for and conducting co-operative sales
of cattle and is making a great deal of money for the
farmers of Georgia.
Mr. Webb suggested that co-operative sales of livestock
should be he’d in Vidalia, and acting on his suggestion the
Kiwanis Club will try to secure a location where grading
pens can be arranged, and it is hoped that a large number
of co-operative sales can be held here the coming fall and
winter.
Tonight
A strictly business meeting, seasoned with a little fun.
There are a number of important committees out and they
will be called on for reports.

The only provision made to get
the money to make this payment is
by the sale of the rental of the state
railroad for five years. The Govern
or thinks he can make this sale at
an early date, and out of the pro
ceeds of the sale he will pay all the
unpaid pensions, both old and new,
including the increases for 1920 and
1921.
Just when this money can be turn
ed into the State treasury to make
the payments we can not say, but
we hope this can be done in the
next sixty or ninety days.
The General Assembly appropria
ted $1,250,000 for the 1922 and the
same amount for 1923. to be paid only
to the old class. Nothing was ap
propriated for the new class for the
years above mentioned, but all nec
essary provision for new pensioners
for 1922 and 1923 may be made when
the General Assembly meets in June
of 1922. Urge the new pensioners
to rest assured that everything pos
sible will be done for them next
year.

back was sore and I had severe
pains through' my kidneys all the
time. My kidneys acted irregularly
and at times I had blinding, dizzy
spells. Nothing 1 t,ried seemed to
help me and finally Doan’s Kidney

After taking a few Doan’s I felt re
