left in a dressing room, the thief man
aging to reach it through the dress
ing room window. There is no clue
to the guilty party.
Afr. W. L. Downs has returned to
the city after spending his vacation
at Watkinsville. Last week he was
at Houston Factory with the Boy
Scouts from Vidalia who enjoyc
week’s camp there.

geles, Cal., who is in this section for
a two weeks visit to relatives, spent
some time this week with his aunt.

Union Services of the Afethodist
and Presbyterian congregations were
held accordng to schedule on Sunday
evening at the Afethodist church, the
sermon being delivered by Rev. R.
B. Anderson, pastor of the Presby
terian church. The service was well
received and union idea will be main
tained through the month of August,
the services alternating between the
two churches.
Afrs. N. W. Swindelle wa? host
ess to the Round Dozen Linn last Fri
day afternoon. Boston Roolf was
played, the top score being made by
Mrs. Youmans and Afrs. Willbanks.

Afonday evening, the affair being a
compliment to Afiss Pearl Silas, of
Rentz, and Miss Louise Breedlo
Douglas. Heart dice was played
proms enjoyed, during the evening
a refreshing ice course being served.

at a delightful spend the day party
last Friday at her home at AfcGregor,
a number of young ladies of A’idalia
being invited.
