MAYBELL STItH
ENTERTAINS GROUP-
Maybell Stith was hostess to her
1 gioup of Mrs. Giles’ piano pupils at
her home Saturday afternoon. The,
fotlowing program, largely military i
commemorative of Armistice Day, was
given.
The instruments of the military
baod—Ruby Sutton.
Minuet in G—Kathryn White.
Merry Mood—Maurine Darby.
I* The Marseillaise and its author,
kouget de l.isle—Lucy Poe.
Devotion- —Maybell Stith.
After thi*, two interesting contests
were held, one in scale playing and
the. other in interpretation, both of
which were won by Kathryn White.
Then each guest solved puzzles
which turned out to be the instru
ments of the military band. The
program ended with band records of
the Marseillaise and other war songs,
to which the guests listened eagerly,
naming the instruments as they pre
dominated.
After the program, Mrs. Stith
served ambrosia and wafers. We
were glad to have with us Mr. and
Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Harrison and
little Miss Williams and Mr. Stith.
The class will he interested to
know that Lucile Shuman is identi
fying herself with the younger musi
cal set in Savannah, having been
asked to play on a program this
week. She will render some, selec
tions which we enjoyed so much
last year.
We are proud of the earnestness
manifested by the class this year.
So far not a single pupil has dis
continued the study of music, an un
usual record for the first two months
of the year.

RESIDENT OF SALT LAKE CITY

WIFE GAINS TWENTY
EIGHT POUNDS.
John J. Perry. 370 Quince street, a
well known Salt Lake City, Utah,
business man, in reporting remarka
ble gains in weight both by himself
and his wife, says:
yMv wife gained twenty-eight
pounds and \ gained ten pounds in i
few weeks by taking Tanlac. The
change in Mrs. Perry is all the more
remarkable as she had been going
down hill steadily for four or five
years. She got no nourishment from
her food and I don’t believe she av
eraged three hours sleep out of the
twenty-four.
“While my condition was not as se
rious as hers, I had been under the j
weather for some time, had no ap- j
petite and was bothered a good deal
by indigestion. Tanlac has certainly
proved all and more than is claimed
